I enjoyed watching He Calls Me Daughter, as it is a very personal subject I can relate to. Having a father wound is something that sticks with you life long and you have to find ways to heal, sometimes over and over again, because it doesn't easily go away. Hearing the stories of each woman in this documentary, was very inspiring and encouraging, to understand how they’ve gone on their journey of healing. I especially loved the comedian, Chonda Pierce’s story, and the young woman who was a dancer, that was helped through Rachelle Starr. This is a great faith based documentary with the reminder that God will be a forever father to all who let Him. He will step in where needed and remind you that you are deserving of love.
You can watch He Calls Me Daughter on Angel where you can also join their Angel Guild for more stories of healing and inspiration. See trailer below:

Sounds like a good movie to see.
ReplyDeleteThis film tells the story of girls and women wounded by hurtful and abusive fathers. I was blessed to have an exceptionally kind, loving, Christian father. We didn't have much financially, but we had dignity, class, and love.

ReplyDeleteI think this would be an interesting film because of its emotional focus.
