Love And War - Book Review   As I had previously wrote, that I received the book "Love And War" (a couples devotional) By John and Stasi Eldredge, from Waterbrook Multnomah blogging for books site. And I have just finished! The book is a focused 8 week devotional for couples, but I read mine in about half that lol. I felt like the chapters were too short, being that, as only about 2 pages for each, and I just wanted to keep reading. I picked up some very good tips along the way and I would like to share them with you.
Have you ever felt like you weren't enough for your spouse? I have felt this many times but when I read: "Without you, your spouse will not become the man or the woman that God intends and the kingdom of God will not advance as it is meant to advance."  It brought marriage into a whole new perspective for me. I may have been neglecting the real reasoning for God's idea in marriage...I needed to be reminded of this so I can step back and really see, 'hey, my husband truly does need me in his life. I am here to help him better his life too!'
And as, I need him too (of course!!): "God gave you your spouse to smooth your rough edges."

Some Bible verses to look up:
  • John 10:10 ~Satan tries all he can do to steal your joy.
  • James 4:7 ~But you have to resist him!
  • Luke 10:!9 ~God has given us the authority to overcome the enemy!

And a verse to end it on:

"Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
                                                   1 John 3:18

by providing me a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions my own.
