Hopping on the Dalgona Coffee Bus

   So I've been hearing all the rage about Dalgona Coffee and how good it is and how easy it is to make. I decided to get on the Dalgona Coffee Bus and try it out for myself. It really is extremely easy to make! And it only takes 3 ingredients, which you then pour over your choice of a milk-like drink. 

To make Dalgona Coffee, you need the following ingredients:

2 TBS Instant Coffee

2TBS Hot Water

2 TBS Sugar

I cut the recipe in half and used a packet of Folgers instant coffee for mine. So in a little glass jar, I added in 1 TBS of Hot Water, a little less than 1 TBS of sugar, and the instant coffee packet. I then used my frother and frothed away until it was whipped to perfection. This makes such a beautiful color and looks good being poured over your drink! 

A lot of people pour it over milk or Almond Milk, but you can really do whatever you want. I had a Vanilla Cappuccino drink that I poured mine on and it was delicious! I also only used half of this mixture I made, so it didn't turn out as pretty as other peoples Dalgona Coffees, but it was still fun to experiment!

Daily Goodie Box - February 2020

February brought a Goodie Box filled with all kinds of special things! From Lip Balm to Snacks, I loved trying every sample in this box! Can you guess my favorite item? (Hint: It was something sweet!)

Coco Luxe - Hydration - Unfortunately I could not try this product, as coconut seems to cause issues for me, so I gave it to my husband drink. If you love Coconut Water you will love that this is pure 100% coconut water, never from concentrate and made with no preservatives. It also has no added sugars so its healthy for you! Great at re-hydrating your system when you need that boost.

Flathau’s Fine Foods - Cheese Straws - This is the second Flathau's Fine Food products I've tried, and I'm beginning to think I really like this brand! These little Cheese Straw Crackers have a nice crunch in each bite, though they're not shaped as straws. The cheese flavor isn't as strong as I expected, and the seasoning makes them spicier than I would've wanted, but they quickly become addicting snacks to munch on. I would love to try more Flathau products!

Eco Lips - MONGO KISS™ Lip Balm - I received the Honey Vanilla and the Yumberry lip balms, both equally as good. They each have a good scent, but the Yumberry smells more like bubble gum to me. I love that these products are made without coconut and are smooth on the lips.

Nature Nate's - Raw Unfiltered Honey - I love trying different honeys from around the world, to experience the unique flavors and varieties different bees make. Nature Nate's honey comes from Brazil and is raw & unfiltered, 100% natural and organic. It has a great sweet taste, as honey should. These little pieces make it perfect for on the go. Each packet contains about a spoon of honey so you can easily use it in a cup of tea. This was my favorite item to test!

Natralia - Anti-Itch Soothing Cream - If you have an itchy rash that just won't go away, or an eczema flair up is bothering you, Natralia's Anti-Itch Soothing Cream will help ease the bother for you. Cortisone free and made of Colloidal Oatmeal and Soothing Menthol, it will help calm the itchy skin. It's also great for bug bites and sunburn! This lotion has a strong Menthol smell, so you will be cool and minty but your itch will be relieved.

Skinny Crisps - Gourmet Crackers - These crackers have a very interesting taste, due to being made with unique ingredients such as Chickpea Flour, Psyllium Husks, and flax seeds; but they are much better for you than other snacks out there. I received the Cinnamon Crisps, and they're not very sweet, but they have an interesting taste and crunch, that will leave you wanting more.

Pure LYFT - All Natural Caffeine Powder - I'm not a fan of caffeine, as the jitters and shakiness bother me, but I decided to try the Mixed Berry LYFT stick to see how clean caffeine does for me. The stick has 2 options: peel & stir or pop & pour...I decided to peel & stir (would have loved if the stick turned into a straw!) and added it to a cup of water. I imagined the powder would change color, but it's clear and leaves my water looking untouched. The Mixed Berry flavor is very mild and artificial tasting, leaving a not very pleasant taste in my mouth, so this might work better in juice or hot cocoa; But it definitely gave me energy (and shakiness) but without the afternoon crash.

Love Grown - Kids Cereal Cups

Who doesn't love cereal?!? Are it's not just for breakfast! Sampling Love Grown cereal was as fun as expected. It tasted like Chocolate Pebbles with a harder crunch. My son enjoyed the texture and the flavor, even without milk! It made a great afternoon snack. And can you believe this cereal is made from beans?! A blend of navy, lentil, and garbanzo beans provide this amazing cereal! Who knew!

Rise Brewing Co - Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Blood Orange

I have to say, I had high hopes for this drink, but it was disgusting. Orange and coffee flavors just do not mix well. The swizz if the can popping open and the creamy top were divine to experience, but the flavor was not on par with the other senses. I would LOVE to try their other flavors, such as an Oat Milk Latte or Mocha Latte.

Ecosafe - High Potency Vitamin C Gummies 

I've loved indulging in 2 gummies a day for the added Vitamin C. The flavor is sweet and the texture is just right. It's like eating candy every day, only it's healthy! These gummies are made with organic and natural ingredients, with no gelatin or pectin, seaweed extract is used instead. They provide antioxidants and help repair body tissues, protect cells, fight off infection, and more! 

Green Goo - 100% All Natural First Aid 

This product is great for first aid use, but it also helps heal dry, cracked hands and feet, heal insect bites, relieve rashes, sunburns, and other skin irritations. It's perfect for on the go and a definite recommended piece to bring with you on those camping trips! The salve is made of a homeopathic formula to give you a more natural healing and let your body do the work it needs to without added chemicals in the way. I found this product to be soothing to dry fingers when I washed the dishes too many times haha. It's a great product to have on hand and it's really all you need.

Softer Than Brittle - Cashew

I loved these cashew brittle pieces so much! I usually have a difficult time eating normal peanut brittle because of the hardness, so trying these softer pieces was far more enjoyable! They have the perfect flavor and crunch, that kind of softens further once it's in your mouth. These bite sized snacks are made with just 7 ingredients and crafted from a 60 year old family recipe. They're fantastic! 
 

My M&M’S® - Personalized M&M’S®

M&M's with personalized words or pictures is such a fun idea for holidays and parties. Most people love these mini chocolates and adding that personalized touch makes it go so much further. You can create yours, all the way from the color to the packaging it arrives in. Adding any photos or words of your choice makes it so much fun! What a great gift!

Eat Your Coffee - Salted Caramel Macchiato Bars

These bars are a genius idea to provide natural energy in each, using a full cup of antioxidant-rich, fair trade coffee and nutrients to get you through that slump. Unfortunately, I expected this bar to be much better than it actually was. I could taste the coffee and the dates, but it really didn't strike me as a "caramel macchiato" flavor. I didn't find it to give me energy as a cup of coffee would, but it was still fun to try it out. I would be interested in their other flavors!

Choice Organics Teas - Earl Grey Tea

I love trying out different tea brands and this particular one did not disappoint. Made using a blend of Ceylon and Indian black teas with Italian Bergamot essential oils, it made a nice cup to get me going.  I like that they have a decaf and a caffeinated choice as well, along with many other tea flavors!

All Good - SPF 30 Sport Sunscreen Lotion

A sunscreen that doesn't wear off when you sweat makes for the perfect beach day! With a broad spectrum SPF of 30 and being water and sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes, you can enjoy an hour+ worth of fun in the sun. This sunscreen is made of natural mineral zinc only, it's coral reef friendly, and non greasy. Ready for summer!

I received a Goodie Box for the month of October 2018 and it's filled with all kinds of goodies. From nuts and toothpaste to coffee and shampoo, there's something for everyone in this kit! Check it out below. 

Susan Brown’s Baby Foaming Shampoo & Body Wash

This is a great shampoo and body wash, that works so well for cleaning your baby's skin. It's also good for those with sensitivities as it is free of phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and parabens. It is all pH-balanced and tear free. The soap foams well and washes away with ease. I would prefer it to have a slight oil feel to it because it just feels so airy but overall it's really great. I really enjoy the soft Chamomile scent as well. 

NightFood Bars for when you're feeling a little munchy. 

These bars are great to eat if you need a midnight snack. They are snackable and give you just enough to feel satisfied, without overdoing it. Each bar provides the right amount of protein while being high in fiber and low in calories. One bar has less sugar in it than a cup of skim milk so you can indulge in a tasty treat instead of a warm glass of milk! I received the flavor Midnight Chocolate Crunch for my bar, and though I wasn't in love with the flavor, I like the idea of this product. It makes you feel like you're eating a candy bar but without the extra junk. I would love to try their other flavors!

Ethical Bean in Classic Medium Roast

Said to be an 'elegant coffee with balanced flavor, aroma, and acidity' ... At first taste of this coffee, I thought it was too bitter. The balance feels off and it didn't fell elegant, but the aroma was satisfying. I found that once I added more grounds to the brew, the better the coffee started to taste. It's not a flavor that would be my first choice, but I like this coffee brand and love that is it ethically sourced, organic, fairtrade, and kosher. They also have a good variety of other flavors to enjoy.

Gear Beast - Universal Smartphone Wallet

This is a pretty handy wallet to add to your phone. It makes for easy grabbing when you need specific cards and don't want to take your wallet with you. I'm always afraid the cards will slide out but this one seems to be pretty good. It has a snap closure to keep the cards in place and it's slim enough to keep in your pocket. It's also compatible with all the latest phones so it would make a great stocking stuffer gift.

Coral LLC - Coral White Tea Tree Toothpaste

I really enjoyed trying out this toothpaste and could really taste the Tea Tree and Clove flavors. Though it contains no fluoride or sodium lauryl sulfate, it produced suds well and left my teeth feeling clean. I like that Coral White helps prevent cavities by raising the pH in your saliva while it also works on whitening the teeth and keeping the breath fresh. I also like that it's said that the whole food mineral complex from the fossilized stony coral minerals in this toothpaste, will also help re-mineralize the enamel on your teeth! Now that's pretty cool.

Pure Chimp - Mint Matcha Green Tea

I really wanted to love this product but Matcha tea is a strong taste that makes it really hard for me to enjoy. I found it to be bitter with really small amounts of mint. It would have been nice to taste the mint a bit stronger. I like that matcha is supposed to help improve your mood, memory, and concentration, among other great benefits to drinking, but I have a hard time enjoying the taste. If you like drinking matcha, this would be a great tea for you!

Chosen Foods - Vegan Mayo On The Go

This is the first time I've tried Vegan Mayo so that was exciting for me. I was shocked on the flavor as it was more tart than I was expecting. I wanted to like it, but I have to admit I prefer regular Mayo to the vegan one. I do like that this is made from garbanzo beans and 100% pure avocado oil. It's a good substitute for vegans to eat Mayo, and it's a flavor I could adjust to if I had to. The texture is perfect and just as you would expect it to be.

Karma Nuts - Roasted Cashews

Cashews are my number one favorite nut, so trying these was a fun chance in a unique flavor. Peri Peri Roasted Cashews were the ones I got to try. They have a hint of exotic red chili spice, giving them a little kick. The full list of seasonings contain Chili, Onion, Garlic, Sea Salt, Natural Cane Sugar, Lime Powder, Natural Chili Extract, Natural Onion Extract, Natural Garlic Extract, so you can imagine the flavor on these nuts. I would have liked to try one of their other sweeter flavors, as I am not a big spice fan, but these were still great!

Veroni - The Original Premium Iron Energy by Mike Tyson

If you like energy drinks, you might enjoy trying an Iron Energy. It's a drink crafted in Europe, designed with organic products and sweeteners to provide a 'better for you' energy drink. I;m not a fan of energy drinks, but I did try the one I received, which was in the flavor: Tutti Fruity. It's nothing I want to drink but I'm sure others might enjoy it!

From the entire contents of the box, my #1 favorite item was the Hyaluronic DMAE Lift & Firm Cream by Andalou Naturals. This was my favorite because I could really see the product working on my skin!! It helped diminish my fine lines and wrinkles that are starting to creep up, and it helped my skin look very soft and healthy. I mostly put the lotion beneath my eyes as I have been holding the very sleepy look lately lol, and I feel this cream helped improve it a lot. I will have to purchase this for future use!

Next in line came Mocha Java Bar by Ona Treats. This bar was tasty, minus the pieces of cacao nibs I had in it, but overall it was a nice little tasty treat. It contained 45mg of caffeine from locally roasted, organic, fair trade coffee beans, as well as organic nuts, honey, and chocolate. This bar makes for a nice little sweet tooth saver, satisfying that urge for a piece of candy.

The Eczema Body Wash & Shampoo by Natralia came next on my list, as it lathered easily in my loofah sponge and didn't have an overwhelming oatmeal scent. This soap left my skin feeling soft and supple, aiding in itch relief and moisturizing dry skin. I love that it's an all-natural formula and helps manage skin irritation. The easy to use pump bottle makes it great for children to use as well!

I was shocked by the amount of energy the Energy Stick Packs by Volo Vitamins gave me! I received the flavors in citrus and berry. I enjoyed the citrus flavor best. It fueled my workout, and house cleaning extremely well. I feel like this product worked better than coffee does, energy-wise at least :) Plus it contains vitamins?! Sounds like a win! 

100% Natural Ginger Candy by Prince of Peace held a little kick in every bite. These candies are much like taffy, as they are chewy, but meant to be sucked on. You get spicy and sweet in one, with that fresh taste of ginger. They're interesting in taste, but I've noticed they help sore throats feel better which is great for cold and allergy seasons. Plus ginger is really good for upset stomachs! Great little candy overall, especially if you love ginger.

Another kick for your caffeine, the Vita Energy Mints by Goviter were chocked full of fresh mintiness. They were so minty, that the spice of it was overwhelming to my tongue lol. I enjoyed one mint at a time, to experience the energy flow. It was nice to suck on during my workout, so I would not only get a move on easier, but also have fresh minty breath while doing so! I prefer your typical tic tac over these, but they were fun to experience!

Starting to see a theme here...more caffeine! Haha. The Kick Ass Ground Coffee by Kicking Horse Coffee was interesting. I thought the name was pretty clever, making me think the coffee would be extremely strong and give me a huge burst of energy. I'm sad to say, I didn't really like the taste of this coffee. It had a strong chemical like taste, I really just didn't enjoy. I shared this coffee with my mom, and she thought it was great. She enjoyed keeping the bag for herself  :)

I really like peanut butter so when I have the chance to try a new kind, I jump for it. When I received the Creamy Peanut Butter by Georgia Grinders I was just as excited to try it. I found the case it comes in to be very unique and less waste. But it is hard to get the last bits of peanut butter out haha. The flavor of this peanut butter was ok. It isn't very sweet, but it is healthier than a lot of peanut butter's out there. The texture was great, as peanut butter should be. I would love to try chunky next!

 Cologne Wipes For Men by Swago are perfect for on the go smell goods. I like my man smelling nice so these are really cool to have on hand ;) The wipe has a nice scent and is easy to use, just wipe where you want freshened up and you smell like you sprayed on cologne! The small compact size makes it easy for men to carry them in their pocket or wallet. They make nice stocking stuffer items during Christmas time too :)

And last but not least, the Pain Relieving Patch by Tiger Balm. I have always enjoyed using Tiger Balm for my aching muscles and just love the scent. It reminds me of Christmas time. I haven't had a chance to use the patch yet, as I haven't needed to! (knock on wood) But I'm sure I will love it just as I love the balm. Plus I wont get my hands all dirty so that's a plus!
