   Who knew Quinoa could be so good! Add a bit of chocolate and you have a delicious and healthier for you snack! I absolutely love these Quinoa Crisps by Undercover. They have just the right amount of sweetness and protein so you can feel good with each bite. But be careful...They're very addicting! :)

Not only are these crisps SO good, but they are much better for you than other chocolate snacks out there. They are allergen friendly so your kids can take them to school. They are gluten free, as well as peanut/tree nut free, kosher and Halal certified, and packed full of protein fiber, and good for you simple ingredients.

Healthy Snacking With Dirt Kitchen Pressed Bars

   Looking for healthier snacks led us upon the Dirt Kitchen Pressed Bars, made with real ingredients and no binders or added garbage, just the straight forward fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and all natural ingredients. A bar you can take with you on the go, and feel good knowing your giving your body some healthy nutrients!

   I received a pack of these Pressed Bars to try, in the following flavors:

• Apricot+Beets+Pumpkin Seed
• Tomato+Raisin+Black Pepper
• Almond+Raisin+Carrot

We loved the idea of these pressed bars, being made with much healthier ingredients that we know and understand. They make a great go-to snack if you're really craving something different, but unfortunately these bars were not as great as we hoped they would be. Some of the flavor mixtures do not go well together, like the tomato and black pepper, and the texture is definitely something to get use to. They were fun to try, and I do enjoy the crunch of the nuts and seeds inside them, but would love to see other flavor combinations made.

Gnarly Sports Nutrition Greens, Collagen and Protein

   I recently tried a couple products from the Gnarly Sports Nutrition line: Performance Greens, Collagen Pro, and Vegan Plant Protein. Each of these products help your body in different areas and give you the supplements to build up your nutrition.

The first product I tried was the Performance Greens in the flavor of Blueberry Acai. This drink is supposed to support blood flow, endurance, and recovery. I was really hoping to like these greens, as they're an easy and healthy way to get in those needed vitamins... But that flavor was just too bad for me to handle. The powder did dissolve well in water, and it made a nice green color, but that taste... It was basically all green and no blueberry...I just can't get past that lol. 

 

The next product I tried was the unflavored Collagen Pro, made with pasture raised peptides, vitamin C and Zinc. I've tried several different Collagen in the past, and unfortunately this one was probably the worst. I know it says it's unflavored, but it definitely has a taste. A very bad taste, that I couldn't stand to drink... But the scent was even worse. I won't go into describing that scent and taste, but just know, it's a hard one to stomach. It did also mix well in water, but unfortunately that's all the good it has going for it. 

 

   And the last item I tried, the Vegan Plant Protein, in the flavor of chocolate. It was my favorite of the three! This drink is made to build, nourish, and support muscles. It mixed well in water, and it had a fantastic chocolate flavor. For it being a meal replacement, it didn't seem to keep me full for very long, but I did enjoy drinking it for breakfast. It also seemed to give me a little boost in energy, which I'm not sure if that was supposed to happen, but I definitely enjoyed this protein shake! 

 

   It's been fun trying a few of the Gnarly Sports Nutrition products. I would love to try their other items and see if there anything else I might like!

Vitamatic Vitamin D3 Supplements

   If you need a little extra Vitamin D in your system, the Vitamatic Vitamin D3 Cholecalciferol with 50,000 IU, can help get you where you need to be and revive the vitamin deficiency. These pills are a  'Once Weekly Dose' of 1250 mcg, and is said to contain a progressive formula in helping vitamin D deficiencies. Vitamin D is an important nutrient that we need so we can have healthy muscle function, strong bones and teeth, and boost the immune system. We typically get Vitamin D from sunshine, but some people don't absorb it as easily, or they don't see enough sunshine in their location. These pills are made to help that! And what's great about them is they are made free from sugar, starch, sodium, yeast, corn, wheat, egg, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, and have been made in the U.S.

   I wanted to try out the Vitamatic Vitamin D3 supplements, for my husband who tends to have a Vitamin D deficiency, and had been looking for a good, easy fix for his fatigue. Because the pills are so potent, it is said to only take 1 pill one time a week, so you don't over do it on the Vitamin D. We are 2 weeks into taking them so we haven't really noticed a difference, but do want to point out that the pills are easy to swallow and haven't caused any adverse reactions. I suggest taking the pill on the same day, at the same time each week, to get into the routine of taking them. Set an alarm if you need to. (We do every Monday after dinner) One bottle is a 60 day supply so it will last awhile. Hoping to see an improvement soon!

Seventh Generation's Mandarin & Yuzu Body Wash

   I recently got the chance to try Seventh Generation's Body Wash in the scent: Mandarin & Yuzu. I love that this way is better for your skin, but the smell is unfortunately a huge turn off. It makes me think of orange peels that have been sitting in old dishwater lol..a scent that is really hard to explain but I'm not fond of. I would love to try their other scents as each one is made with Shea butter and really does treat the skin better!

   Not only are these products good for our skin, the Seventh Generation Body Washes are made with water friendly formulas that help protect the waterways and reduce ocean waste, so they're better for our environment as well! Stretch Island Organic Fruit Strips and Bites

   Awhile back, I received an awesome little kit of Stretch Island products to try. I really loved the blueberry fruit bites. They all have a great flavor but those are my favorite. They're fun to eat anytime, even on the go, but make sure you have wipes with you because they get sticky! 

   The strawberry fruit strips were my second favorite. These strips are sweet and chewy, making a fun little treat. The grape fruit strips were good also! These snacks are great to put in lunchboxes or to have as an after-school treat. Adults and children will love them. 🍓

Elbow Noodle Lasagna With Classico Organic Roasted Garlic Sauce

Original Sweetpotatotasts Mini Pizzas

   An interesting substitute for toast, these Sweetpotatoasts are pre cooked, sliced sweet potatoes that you bake in the oven or toaster to get them crisp, then top them with your desired ingredients. The Original Sweetpotatoasts are really easy to use and have a great taste! 

 

   I made ours for dinner, layering marinara sauce, caramelized ham chunks, pepperoni, and pepper jack cheese across our slices, then baked til crisp. They tasted delicious! Like little mini pizzas, without the bread. I would love to try more topping ideas in the future!

   For the month of November, I received an awesome Daily Goodie Box filled with all kinds of fun things! Keeping me hydrated, healthy, and happy!

Hydralyte - Electrolyte Solution: These drinks are great at keeping the body hydrated after being sick. They're chocked full of electrolytes and help replenish your system after bouts of heavy sweating, puking, and diarrhea. I received a Hydralyte in the flavor orange, and though the flavor reminds me of cough medicine with a hint of salt, it seemed to re-hydrate me pretty quickly. I like that this drink has 75% less sugar than other electrolyte drinks out there. A great one to keep on hand during flu season. You can even enjoy a bottle, after an intense workout, to replenish all the water you lost during a sweat-out!


Teaonic - MOJO Herbal Wellness Shots: I was sad to see my wellness shot leaked out in my box, but thankfully I was still able to try it for this review. I received the Digestion shot, which is a mix of herbs, juices, and plant extracts to help clean the gut from inside out. This shot contains Aloe Leaf, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cranberry, Lemon, and Hibiscus. I love that it is supposed to help with digestion, but if I'm being completely honest, this drink was nasty. I couldn't bring myself to drink more than a sip haha...I guess that's why they call it a shot. So you can drink it fast!

Sir Kensington’s - Pizza Ranch Dressing: I was really excited to see Pizza flavored ranch dressing in my box! Two ingredients that go well together, in my opinion. This dressing is great in salad, but also delicious to use as a dip for fries or drizzled across nachos. I love that it's made with Sunflower Oil, and that it's dairy free so even those with lactose allergies can indulge in it!

 Susan Brown’s Baby - Sensitive Baby Diaper Therapy® Cream: Though I don't currently have a use for diaper cream, it's always nice to have some on hand during the cold winter season, if needed for wind burn and chafing. It's not just for babies! I do like that this one is made with natural botanics such as Calendula, Oats, Chamomile, and Shea Butter, so it's gentle on the skin and soothes as it moisturizes. It doesn't have a strong chemical scent like other diaper cream, which is great for sensitive noses!

WOLO WanderBar - Peanut Butter Protein Bar: Made with 16g of Protein, 11g of fiber, and 4g of sugar, this protein bar will be one you want to have with you on the go. The bar has a crispy bottom layer and a soft chewy top, giving your mouth an enjoyable texture to munch on. I enjoyed eating mine, though a bit chewy, it's not too sweet and has a decent taste. I would love to try some of their other flavors!

Aprati Foods - Frutati™ Hard Candy Assortments: I love these little hard candies! They're great to suck on when you're wanting something a little sweet with less sugar. My favorite is the Green Apple Mango flavor. I love that these candies are GMO free and contain no artificial flavors!


Green Goo - Peppermint Toothpaste: An all natural, plant based toothpaste that will clean your teeth without all the added chemicals. It will help soothe the gums and prevent plaque build up, while keeping your teeth bright and clean. I really didn't like the aftertaste this toothpaste gave. It left my mouth tasting like soap, which is odd because of the mint flavor this paste contained. Sadly, it's not a toothpaste I would want to continue using.


Que Bella - Peel Off Masks: I was most excited to receive these little face masks and enjoy some at home beauty treatments. I get to Refine with coffee, Exfoliate with Pumpkin Seed, and Energize with Lime & Mint! I love that these masks are enriched with natural ingredients and gentle on my skin. Each Pack smells delicious too! The Pumpkin Seed smelled like Marshmallows!!

The Emergen-C Protein Fuel & Superfoods powder makes a great drink to add to my rotation of post workout drinks. I love drinking a smoothie after a good workout, especially when it has extra health benefits! I tried both the Mixed Berry flavor and the Pomegranate Mango flavor, both with water alone. I definitely liked the Pomegranate Mango better, but I found that with both drinks, the powder doesn't mix completely. I used my shaker cup for each drink, and though it's much easier than having to get a blender out, I might prefer to just use my single serve blender when it comes to mixing powders. I really like that these shakes give me 2 servings of Superfruits AND 2 servings of Superveggies! Plus 15g of protein, and it's chocked full of antioxidants and vitamins! These drinks are especially great on the go, as no blender is needed, and they will keep you full for longer. Overall, this is a great drink mix filled with all the healthy benefits!

   Kids love taking vitamins when they're in the form of a gummy, because it makes them think it's candy! Especially when they have great flavors like these L'il Critters: Secret Life of Pets Multi Vitamins. These vitamins contain 11 essential vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin A, B-6, B-12, C, D and E 'to help support healthy growth and development'. They also contain no Artificial Flavors or Sweeteners; No High Fructose Corn Syrup; No Synthetic (FD&C) Dyes. They are also Gluten and Dairy free.     

   We love how fun it is to take L'il Critters™ The Secret Life of Pets Complete Multi Vitamin everyday. They have an excellent taste and the colors are vibrant and fun. They have a strong chew, I would like to see them slightly softer but that doesn't change our outlook on them. I love knowing my child is getting the vitamins he needs, and he looks forward to it every morning with breakfast!

   I received some great items in the August Daily Goodie Box! Check it out below to see all the fun things I tried.

DRY Soda Company - These Culinary-Inspired Sparkling Sodas are lightly sweetened and made with botanical flavors. I received the flavor: Rainier Cherry to try, and wasn't that thrilled with it, as I prefer my sparkling waters to have a stronger flavor. This one was pretty dry in taste, but added a nice touch when I mixed juice in with it. I do like that there are some unique flavors with this brand, so maybe I would like another flavor better!

Bubba’s Fine Foods - Grand Garlic Parm ‘Nana Chips - These are really interesting in the fact that they are made with Bananas and tasted so much like potato chips! They have a great taste and are seasoned perfectly. I would love to see them a bit thinner, more like potato chips, but overall they're really great. I do wish they weren't made with coconut oil, as those with but allergies can't have them.

Foods Alive - Nutritional Yeast. This is my first time trying any kind of nutritional yeast and I am shocked with the great flavor! It tastes so similar to popcorn. It's unreal, that this isn't real cheese haha. I am happy to see that there is this option for those who can't have or choose not to have animal produced cheese. I love that this can be used for so many food items: popcorn, garlic bread, soup, salad, and so much more! It makes a great addition to protein, fiber, and vitamins.

Natralia - Heel Balm - A lotion made specifically for rough, dry feet. It is said to have visible results within 3 days. It will soften your skin, using a balanced blend of Shea Butter, Rosemary Oil, Safflower Oil, and Aloe Vera. It has a decent minty smell, that kind of reminds me of a mix of Tiger Balm and Foundation Makeup. I haven't noticed complete results over 3 days, but it does make my feet feel nice when I apply it before bed.

Evo Hemp - Mocha Chip Hemp Bar - Made with just 7-10 ingredients and no added sugars, fillers, oils, or sulfates, the Evo Hemp Mocha Chip Bar was one of my favorite items to try! I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious this Hemp Protein Bar is! It has an interesting texture, that reminds me of the center of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. It's very soft and creamy like peanut butter with bits of crunchy pieces due to the cashew butter, pea crisps, and chocolate chips. The flavor is sweet and very enjoyable, making it feel like a dessert in every bite! I would love to try all their flavors!

Aqua Biome™ - Fish Oil Classic Strength - I love the benefits that are said to be given with taking fish oil pills (promotes digestion, balances mood, supports the immune system, joints, and so much more) so I will continue trying these out, but the fishy burps are almost unbearable when I'm not a fan of fish flavor lol. With every burp, it tastes as if I just ate a larger piece of salmon. Definitely take on a full stomach and probably before bed to avoid bad breath during the day ;)

SolarDerm - After Sun Facial Moisturizer helps sooth the facial skin after sitting in the sun for too long, which is especially good to use after getting a sunburn. It also helps prevent premature aging and skin cancer by using natural resources from green tea and oats, to replenish skin and keep it hydrated. There is a slight scent to this moisturizer, though it fades after time. It leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished, I really like it!

Flathau’s Fine Foods - All Natural Shortbread Cookies - These Shortbread Cookies are so delicious! My favorite item from this Goodie Box because they're so great. The cookies are soft enough, with a nice little crunch and they have a hint of caramel to the taste. They are a bit crumbly, but worth every bite.

They're perfect to keep in your bag to have on the go, and make a nice after dinner treat!

I received some awesome stuff in my May Goodie Box. Lots of beauty self love treatments, between tasty beverages, masks, and snacks!

KÖE - Organic Kombucha: I'm not a big fan of kombucha but I've heard of the great health benefits about drinking it in moderation. Packed with probiotics, this drink is definitely a taste you have to get use to. This particular one contains 90 calories, 0g of fat, and 4 billion probiotics. It is USDA Organic, vegan, and gluten free. I received the Raspberry Lemon flavor, and wow was it tart! I enjoyed the sizzle it contained, but the flavor was hard to swallow. Though I would be open to try other flavors, this one is just not for me. It's great for the gut though!

Pure Aura - Cosmic Shimmer Hologram Foil Mask: This beauty mask is made to soothe, hydrate, and firm your skin. It contains a dual layer, or charcoal on one side and foil on the other, to help keep the moisture from evaporating. It contains several healthy ingredients such as: Glycerin to improve circulation and soothe inflammation, Honeysuckle to also soothe inflamed skin, Chamomile to moisturize, soothe, and soften, Marigold to help inflammation and aid in healing-with a cell renewal property, and last but not least, Wormwood to help promote blood circulation, improve metabolism, nourish skin and renew it. All these ingredients are great in the anti aging process. The mask was came in 2 parts, and was pretty easy to apply, though very interesting to wear. I loved the fun sparkle it had, but the fit bit was a little wonky in some spots so I had to readjust several times. Over all it was fun to experiment with. It has a great smell and left my face feeling soft.

Goddess Garden - Facial SPF30 Natural Sunscreen Lotion: Having sunscreen on hand, especially through the summer, is definitely something we all need to keep our skin healthy! Goddess Garden's sun lotion is a non-nano zinc oxide mineral sunscreen that includes Immortelle essential oil, which is a natural anti-aging ingredient to help repair wrinkles and moisturizes the skin while protecting from the sun's harmful UV rays. It's the perfect sunscreen for the beach, because it stays water resistant for up to 40 minutes, and it is reef safe, so it will not harm the environment. It is free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, and phthalates. It is also biodegradable, vegan, and certified by Leaping Bunny to be cruelty free. I applied the sunscreen before going out, and was sad to say, I hated it. Though it rubbed on well, once it dried, my face felt like dusty clay. I was not fond of the smell, and that texture was very off-putting. I found that it is also very hard to wash off. Unfortunately it is not one of my favorites.

CUSA Tea - Premium Instant Tea Variety Pack: I love these variety tea packs! They're perfect to test out each flavor to see what is the best. The instant powder makes it so easy to have a mug of hot tea without the wait to brew it. They all taste great and even better with cream and sugar. This pack included two servings each of Organic English Breakfast, Lemon Black, Chai and Mango Green Teas, and then one serving each of Organic Oolong and Organic Green Teas. The tea is so easy to make, you can bring it with you on the go! It is certified paleo and keto, as well as vegan friendly and gluten free.

Kika’s Treats - Salted Crunchy Caramels: These salted crunchy caramels were so delicious, making a wonderful afternoon snack. They had just the right flavor and, though a little chewy for my preference, they were perfect. Making them 100% Natural and amazing on your taste buds!

Michele’s Granola - Grab-and-Go Snack Size Granola: A yummy and healthy snack, you can eat any time of day. I received the original flavor, though they have several other flavors to choose from! This granola had such a great flavor, perfect to eat as is or add into yogurt! It was made with a tasty blend of coconut, sunflower seeds, sliced almonds, and a touch of Madagascar Vanilla. It is certified vegan and verified by the Non GMO Project. It was also baked with wind power, how cool is that?! It makes the perfect afternoon snack!

PiperWai - Natural Deodorant Stick: Made with activated charcoal to help neutralize odors, this deodorant glides on easily, leaving a smooth clean feel.
