Keeping the Bugs Away With HUA Mosquito & Fly Repellent Incense Sticks

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Spring and Summer will be here before we know it, and that means bugs will too!
Especially those pesky Mosquitoes and Flies that like to disrupt our outdoor fun.
There are several insect repellents on the market, but they often contain toxic pesticides
that are dangerous to our health. With the HUA Mosquito & Fly Repellent Incense Sticks,
we can detour the bugs, while protecting our families in a healthy natural way.

These incense sticks are naturally made with Citronella, Thyme and Rosemary Essential Oils, and Brazilian Andiroba, making them non-toxic and healthy for you and your pets to be around. The smells will repel bugs away from your area, so you can relax without bother. Each stick is easy to light and burns for 45 minutes. It even has a pleasant scent! You can set the sticks in an incense holder, in the ground, or in containers with sand or soil to hold them up. The smoke and scent will keep the bugs away so you can enjoy your outdoor BBQ, Picnic, Party, Camping Trip, and more!

You can find the Mosquito & Fly Repellent Incense Sticks available for purchase on Amazon $17.60 for a box of 30 sticks.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only
recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Replenish Your Lost Electrolytes With Salty AF

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my honest review. All opinions my own.

Whether you're about to go party all night, workout intensely, or just need to replenish your system, Salty AF is the ultimate hydration blend to replace electrolytes as they're needed. Electrolytes are an essential nutrient our bodies need, to help maintain proper electrical circuit functions - such as the heart, brain, and nervous system. These nutrients get absorbed by the cells in our body and aid in regulating blood pressure, hydrating and feeding your muscles and nervous system, alleviating headaches, and much more. This bottle contains a 30 day supply of the following naturally occurring minerals: Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium, Chloride Chromium, and Calcium. You can take the drops at any time of day, and feel good knowing that your body is receiving a healthy little dose of encouragement.

I love how simple it is to get in electrolytes now! With this easy to understand blend, I no longer have to drink sugary drinks to replenish loss of hydration after a workout. And the best part is, you can literally add Salty AF to any type of liquid. Including your favorite alcoholic beverage while at a party! The liquid doesn't really have much flavor, although some say it's sweet, others say it's salty, but all of that disappears in a cold bottle of water. This is a great way to re-hydrate your body in such a simple way. You can even enjoy it on an empty stomach! I love that the ingredients are straight forward with nothing extra added to them. No sugars, soy, starch, preservatives, flavors, or filler. It's all 100% Vegan, non-GMO and Gluten Free!

You can find Salty AF available for purchase on Amazon or at saltyaf.shop as well as more information and answers to the most frequently asked questions about this product. You can also find them on Instagram to see photos, product reviews, tips, and more!

Daily Goodie Box - December 2022

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

I received a Daily Goodie Box for the month of December!
Check out the goodies in this one:

Miracle Tree - Moringa Energy Tea. I actually really like this tea. I was hesitant to try it due to a sensitivity to caffeine, but it didn't effect me bad. I also wasn't sure how vanilla and grape would taste together but it's actually a really good mix and makes a nice morning brew.

Hubbard Peanut Company - Hubs Power Packs. These peanuts are exactly what you would expect them to taste like. Regular Peanuts with a lot of salt. Just a little too salty in my opinion.

Toast! - Before You Drink Gummies. So I've tried these gummies before and I didn't like them at all. The taste is akin to vitamins and novacaine. I hoped they would be different this time around, but the scent was like fish and the taste was as bad as I remember. Very chemically tasting. Because of this, I can't say whether they work or not. They are just nasty.

Honey House Naturals - Bee Bar Lotion. I like the creamy mintyness of the Lip Butter and the tin of bar lotion is pretty cool. These are both very pretty and would make great gifts. The lotion bar is something to get use to though, because you have to let it heat up in your hands to become spreadable, and it is a bit greasy to me.

Flathau's Fine Foods - Key Lime Shortbread Cookies. These cookies are delicious, but I do like the original flavor better. The Key Lime wasn't too strong but did have the hint of sour from the lime. I really like the texture of these cookies, but think they could use a little less powdered sugar.

Sambrosa - Night Syrup. I haven't really gotten a chance to try this yet, as I realized it isn't just for helping you sleep, but also for allergies. I only experience summer/spring allergies so it will have to wait until then, to try it out. But the concept seems good. It will help you sleep and soothe your sneezing snotty nose!

Rowdy - Collagen Protein Powder. I really hoped to like this product because of the great benefits it contains. It's a protein powder with collagen mixed in so it's great for your body! But the collagen has such a strong flavor, that it's pretty much all I can taste. I added it to hot cocoa and it was okaaayy, but really powdery. Then I tried it in coffee and that was absolutely gross and chunky. It might be good in smoothies but that taste is pretty powerful.

Bee & You - Vitamin C + Zink Propolis Shots. This drink had a really tart taste with a strong scent of honey. It's very sweet and the taste slightly burns going down, probably due to the acidity of the orange juice. I think it would be better cold instead of room temperature, but not something I want to drink again.

This was another fun box of products to test!
Some great things for good health and enjoyment.

Daily Goodie Box - September 2022

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

I received a Goodie Box for the month of September, and it included lots of interesting little things! From Beverages to Hand Lotion, and Health Products. Some I've tried before, and some that were new to me...

Ok first up was, hands down, my favorite item in this box...

Coconut Orange Shampoo Bar by Bubbles & Balm. This was my first time trying a shampoo bar and I really enjoyed it! I've been wanting to try one for awhile now, because I was hesitant at how well they would work, but I'm surprised at its goodness. The bar actually lathered really well and the soap mixed into my hair perfectly. It washed out and didn't leave my hair greasy, it was actually very clean and silky! I really like using a shampoo bar, and might even consider switching from bottled shampoo, because it's better for the environment. The only thing I would change about this bar, is I would give it more of a scent. The coconut orange smell is very faint and it doesn't linger in my hair. I would love to continue to smell the scent, even after washing. Can't wait to try more!

Foods Alive Hulled Hemp. I love having hulled hemp on hand because there are so many things you can add it to! Baked goods, salads, pastas, smoothies, and more! It's a good way to get some added nutrients and texture to your food.

Bliss CPD Sparkling Water Bliss. I really wanted to like this drink, as I was looking forward to its calming capabilities...but the taste of it was so bad, it made me think of Alka Seltzer and dried flowers. Unfortunately, I couldn't even drink this it was so bad. Big bummer.

Moringa Superfood Energy Infusion Tea by Miracle Tree, in the flavor of Moringa Cherry Chamomile. This tea has a nice cherry taste, which is unique for a flavor of tea. I didn't like it but I didn't not like it either. I think it's a taste to continuing drinking, to get used to. I imagine it might be delicious with a little cream!

BWC Fragrance Free Hand And Body Lotion. This lotion is moisturizing and didn't really have a smell. I like that it is cruelty free and gets the skin hydrated.

CBD Cream With Menthol by Shikai. This lotion is soft and hydrates the skin well. I would prefer it without the menthol in it, but it's suppose to be good for you, and leaves the skin feeling cool.

Berry Mix Xylitol Ice Chips. I've tried these candies before and my thought every time, is that they are slightly too tart. The berry taste is pretty strong, I would love to have a more minty hint, but they are growing on me. Good to have on hand when you want to freshen your breath.

Dental Gum, Tooth Powder & Daily Rinse by Eco Dent. The tooth powder tastes exactly like baking soda with a hint of mint, so think sightly bitter minty-ness. It was hard to get it to stay on my toothbrush so I probably would suggest to make a paste with it and rub it on with your finger instead. I didn't really like it because it that baking soda bitterness. The rinse was pretty watery, with a hint of mint, but not a fan... These wouldn't be my go to products.

What product do you think you would most like to try?
My favorite was definitely the Shampoo Bar!

Lightlife Plant Based Bratwurst Sausage

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

If you're craving a good hotdog but you've given up meat, these Bratwursts by Lightlife Plant Based Sausage are highly recommended!

They looked and cooked almost just like a pack of hotdogs. The price is much higher than actual meat hotdogs, and only four come in a pack, but they're good if you're looking for plant based.

I cooked the sausage in a pan, allowing them to get a bit charred, then dressed them as I would a hotdog and it was delicious. The sausage did shrink a little, as you can see on the bun, but the taste is great.

Have you had any Lightlife Plant Based Products? If so, I would love to know what you thought about them!

Watch GIGI & NATE in Theaters Beginning 9/2

Inspired by a true story, GIGI & NATE will take you along on a roller coaster of emotions while uplifting your heart.

Imagine building up the courage to dive off a cliff into the lake, and everything seems fine, but within days, your body takes a turn. A near life threatening reaction turns everything upside down and leaves you paralyzed. Nate experienced all of this and more, struggling day after day, feeling like he can't continue. But then he meets Gigi, a Capuchin monkey that changes him and his families life, forever. Gigi helps Nate's situation improve, giving him the hope he's needed to move through life. With the ups and downs each day brings, Gigi and Nate overcome the obstacles together.

I enjoyed watching this film and seeing Gigi interact with the characters. The movie was slow to begin with, a lot of tension and sadness, but I'm glad I watched it all the way through so I could see the good things about it too. It's a good reminder that, when life tries to knock you down, you might have to take a step or two backward, but hope always brings you back up and shows you that, with a little help, you're strong enough to get through whatever might come your way.

Visit gigiandnate.com and buy your tickets to see GIGI & NATE in theaters starting September 2!

Deception - Book Review

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

A book full of suspense with a sprinkle of romance, Deception by Patricia Bradley is one you won't want to put down. This story is about the main character, Madison Thorn, an ISB Ranger, who became entangled in a sad and violent crime, with someone who was supposed to be close to her. This event shaped her future of working in the fraud and cyber crimes division, where she partners with an old childhood rivalry, the handsome Park Ranger, Clayton Bradshaw. These two work together to uncover the mysteries of murder, and violence...one being that of an attack on someone who likes exactly like Madison. It's mystery upon mystery, with a budding friendship that just might lead to romance!

I absolutely enjoyed reading Deception. I started and finished the book within two days! There was so much action in this read, and just when you think the mysteries are solved, another one shows up! Some are predictable and some are not, making this book and excellent read to keep you interested.

You can find Deception available for purchase on Amazon as well as on other book selling locations.

Daily Goodie Box - July 2022

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

I received a Goodie Box for the month of July, and it had several snacks and moisturizing products in it. Can you guess which one was my favorite?

Tranquini - Wellness Drink - This drink was actually pretty decent; it had a good amount of bubbles and a slight hint of a tea-like taste to it. I enjoyed drinking Tranquini while relaxing after a long day. It's a plus, that it is sugar free!

RareEssence - Stress Relief Roll-on Oil - I love roll on oils because they're easier and mess free, and using one to help with stress is exactly what I need. I've been applying it almost daily for a few weeks now, and though I haven't really noticed it make a difference, I do like the joy I feel when I roll it on my wrists.

Artisana Organics - Nut Butters Variety - I love trying new nut butters because the flavors are all so different from one another, especially when cacao is added in! These taste amazing (the hazelnut cacao in particular) but I had a difficult time getting the butter to come out. It was thick and hard to knead together, causing a mess when using, but delicious overall.

Buddah Brands - Keto Bars - I was most excited to try these bars, because, not only did the seem healthy, the flavors sounded delicious! Upon trying them, I wasn't as pleased with the flavor as I thought I would be, but the taste grew on me eventually. I really liked the texture,  and the added chocolate chips were the best!

Dr. Botanicals - Lemon Superfood Rescue Butter - A nice creamy lotion that fits perfectly in your car or purse. It absorbs into the skin quickly, leaving a soft hydrated feeling behind. The scent is light and kind of reminds me of the smell of Popsicle sticks, though it is not bad and doesn't linger on the skin.

Beauty Without Cruelty - Leave-In Conditioner - I like the faint earthy scent in this conditioner, and it rubs in to my hair nicely, without leaving any greasy feel or residue (when I use the right amount!). This conditioner helps comb out my tangles and leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable.

Daily Crunch Snacks - Sprouted Nut Snacks - This bag is exactly what it says it is. Full of nuts and dried berries, rather plain, but a good snack for those that like them. Plus, these little bags make it a good snack for on the go!

2x4 Health - Heart Health - Made with antioxidants to help boost heart health and energy, you take just over a teaspoon of this product as a daily dietary supplement. The liquid is orange and has a slight citrus smell. If refrigerated, it lasts 7 days after opening. This is an interesting product, I'm not sure how well it works, but I've read some positive reviews on it.

So there you have it, new products in July's Goodie Box. What products were you most interested in? I definitely recommend the top 4!

Just.You.Wait. - Book Review

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

It seems like everybody is waiting for something, and if they're not now, then they were before or will be in the future. Waiting isn't a very fun process, especially if you feel like you have a deadline to reach. You might feel like your time is ticking and you're becoming impatient, waiting for that something. It can be stressful, full of pain, uncertainty, and loss, but if we know where to look, we can also see the positive in the waiting.

Just.You.Wait. by Tricia Lott Williford helps you find the hidden treasures behind waiting. She uses stories from people in the Bible, about times they had to wait on things. She shares real life scenarios of people who had to wait and gives direction to find the happiness in waiting. It's a good reminder that, even though we want the waiting to come to a head, we have to look for the great things that go along with the process. Though this book wasn't what my expectations desired, I did enjoy reading bits and pieces, and will take those reminders with me as I continue to trail through my path of waiting.

You can find Just.You.Wait. available for purchase on Amazon, as well as other book selling locations.

Healthy Snacking With Dirt Kitchen Pressed Bars

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Looking for healthier snacks led us upon the Dirt Kitchen Pressed Bars, made with real ingredients and no binders or added garbage, just the straight forward fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and all natural ingredients. A bar you can take with you on the go, and feel good knowing your giving your body some healthy nutrients!

I received a pack of these Pressed Bars to try, in the following flavors:

  • Apricot+Beets+Pumpkin Seed
  • Tomato+Raisin+Black Pepper
  • Almond+Raisin+Carrot

We loved the idea of these pressed bars, being made with much healthier ingredients that we know and understand. They make a great go-to snack if you're really craving something different, but unfortunately these bars were not as great as we hoped they would be. Some of the flavor mixtures do not go well together, like the tomato and black pepper, and the texture is definitely something to get use to. They were fun to try, and I do enjoy the crunch of the nuts and seeds inside them, but would love to see other flavor combinations made.

Daily Goodie Box - May 2022

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

A short and sweet May Goodie Box to share with you guys. This one was filled with full size products and samples, all great for getting your body back on track and healthy.

Tipson - Liver Cleanse Tea. This tea is made with dandelion so it has a slight bitterness to it... definitely better when drank warm. It's not awful, and it's easy to have a cup a day for a clean liver.

Ultima Replenisher - Electrolyte Powder. These little drink mixes are good to have on the go. They're great to give your body some extra hydration and electrolytes. I like that they are plant based and come in a variety of flavors.

Vitamin Friends - Kids Vegan Iron Gummies. These vitamin gummies are so easy to take, just one a day to give you some extra iron and other vitamins. The first initial taste of the gummy is really good, but then it leaves an awful after taste. Must be due to the iron in it.

Cleanse Freshen Go - Dental Appliance Cleansing Towelettes. These towelettes are nice to have on hand, for using to wipe my night guard, when I don't have a drink available right away. The wipe seems to cleanse the guard and smells nice n' minty, although it doesn't leave much of a minty taste to it. I wish it did though!

SmartPatches - Classic Hangover Prevention. I have yet to use these patches, as I don't drink alcohol much, and if I did, I more than likely wouldn't be driving enough to get a hangover :) but it's a nice concept stuff I hope they work really great for those that need them!

What product do you think you would most like to try?
It's been fun as usual. Looking forward to the next Goodie Box!

Gnarly Sports Nutrition Greens, Collagen and Protein

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

I recently tried a couple products from the Gnarly Sports Nutrition line: Performance Greens, Collagen Pro, and Vegan Plant Protein. Each of these products help your body in different areas and give you the supplements to build up your nutrition.

The first product I tried was the Performance Greens in the flavor of Blueberry Acai. This drink is supposed to support blood flow, endurance, and recovery. I was really hoping to like these greens, as they're an easy and healthy way to get in those needed vitamins... But that flavor was just too bad for me to handle. The powder did dissolve well in water, and it made a nice green color, but that taste... It was basically all green and no blueberry...I just can't get past that lol.

The next product I tried was the unflavored Collagen Pro, made with pasture raised peptides, vitamin C and Zinc. I've tried several different Collagen in the past, and unfortunately this one was probably the worst. I know it says it's unflavored, but it definitely has a taste. A very bad taste, that I couldn't stand to drink... But the scent was even worse. I won't go into describing that scent and taste, but just know, it's a hard one to stomach. It did also mix well in water, but unfortunately that's all the good it has going for it.

And the last item I tried, the Vegan Plant Protein, in the flavor of chocolate. It was my favorite of the three! This drink is made to build, nourish, and support muscles. It mixed well in water, and it had a fantastic chocolate flavor. For it being a meal replacement, it didn't seem to keep me full for very long, but I did enjoy drinking it for breakfast. It also seemed to give me a little boost in energy, which I'm not sure if that was supposed to happen, but I definitely enjoyed this protein shake!

It's been fun trying a few of the Gnarly Sports Nutrition products. I would love to try their other items and see if there anything else I might like!
