Watch The Short Game in Theaters Starting August 29th + GIVEAWAY

The Short Game is an inspirational film on the story of Jeremy Avery, an avid golf player whose biggest goal for himself, was to become the State Championship winner and receive a college scholarship. He faced many trials through his life, and felt like his dreams were always on hold, never getting to truly focus on himself to push at achieving his goals. It took a drastic life change to help him come to realization that he can’t picture his problems as a burden anymore, that he must accept what is and move forward.

This is a beautiful film of friendship, family, and working hard to achieve the goals you set for yourself. I loved watching The Short Game and found it to be very enjoyable, without the focus being so much about the sport of golf, but of all the life pieces that went with Jeremy Avery’s dreams and being a big brother. I highly recommend this film!

You can purchase tickets to see The Short Game in theaters starting August 29, 2025. And visit ShortGameMovie.com to see the trailer and more information.

Join the Angel Guild and Watch Testament Today + A Giveaway

Have you ever wondered what life in the Bible days would be like, now, in this modern world? A new show called Testament breathes life into stories from The Book of Acts in the Bible, and gives us a live action series of what it was like in the times after Jesus was crucified. You get to meet the apostles as they spread the word that Jesus has been resurrected; You get to see the miracles that were performed and the secrets unravel, showing who is loyal and who let fear betray them; And you get to witness those of the Temple, that try their hardest to silence any believer thinking it all blasphemous.

This show is amazing and really helps you gain a better perspective and understanding of life in the Bible days. I often wonder how this or that would have been in those times, and it's kind of refreshing to see it from a modern day viewpoint. The unique acting of each character is enjoyable to watch and really helps you understand their role. I love that there is mystery and action in each episode, leaving you wanting to know what happens next and when Jesus will appear. Each scene really gives you an in depth view of the stories that have been written in the Bible, and to aid in the imagination of the lives that had once existed, as if it were in todays world. It really makes you want to ponder on those stories and challenge your thinking that surrounds them.

If you would like to experience this film, visit angel.com and join the Angel Guild to start streaming the full season of Testament! You will be glad you did :)

See the Film: Show Me Your Glory in theaters May 13th

A powerful documentary film, Show Me Your Glory is filled with those of true stories about God performing miracles, answering prayers, and touching lives in unexpected ways. There are a handful of families and experts appearing in this film, to speak on their behalf of real experiences they have faced. They live each day, believing that God was in all of this and putting their faith in Him for His will to be done.

There are some powerful stories told, from children on deaths bed, to drug addicts not seeing a way out, from depression eating your mind and soul, to satanic believers dwelling in the unknown, and so much more! There is quite the emotional pull in this film with each story all ending in their Faith in God. I found it very interesting hearing each story and it really does have you thinking about ways God has worked in your own life, but my biggest take away was wondering just how many times God worked in my life when I didn’t even realize it was Him. Perhaps protecting me from something or providing me with something even greater than I would’ve received if things worked out differently. It’s a good documentary that will get you thinking.

Would you like to see this movie? Show Me Your Glory is in theaters May 13, 2025 so be sure to get your tickets to see it, at https://www.showmeyourglory.com

Help End Homelessness + See "No Address" in Theaters 2/28

Did you know that there are approximately 1.2 million adults and 1.5 million children nationwide, experiencing homelessness every day? This is such an unacceptable number, hiking with a 12% increase between the years of 2022 and 2023, it is predicted that if this continues, the number will double in size over the next 5-6 years. What changes can we make to bring these numbers down?

The company of Robert Craig Films is devoted to help those numbers drop, by donating 50% of their video proceeds to several organizations nationwide, that help healing homelessness within their communities. The recent film that they made is called "No Address" and it brings attention to different homeless scenarios, showing that no matter your experiences or lifestyle, it could literally happen to anyone at anytime. The film is based around a young girl in foster care, that has "aged out" of the system, causing her to lose everything in her life, becoming homeless... but not hopeless.

It's easy to not really pay attention to having a roof over your head, maybe taking it for granted if it's always been there for you without a worry or concern that it will be taken away. Watching the movie, No Address, really helps you think about the different situations people can come across, not having a place to call their home, sometimes by no means of their own. It's a sad but real life issue we face as a society, that we really need to find a way to manage better and get those numbers down. I really enjoyed watching this film, and seeing the hope and resilience each member holds within them. There was a lot of sadness and pain in this movie, but also the realness it brings and to show that not all homeless camps are what they seem. These are real lives that we are talking about, and they need our help.

If you're interested in seeing No Address in theaters, you can visit fathomenertainment.com to purchase tickets and see it in theaters starting February 28th! Remember that 50% of their net profits go to helping the homeless! Some other ways you can help would be to donate to organizations like National Alliance to End Homelessness and Family Promise. Or volunteer in a soup kitchen, donate goods, and just be a friend and help those who need help, especially if they're facing the prospect of homelessness.

See The Unbreakable Boy Film in Theaters February 21st

The Unbreakable Boy is a movie based around the true story of a boy who was born with a genetic brittle bone disease, and has spent many times visiting the emergency room due to broken bones. As his age progressed, his parents started to notice things that didn’t seem “normal” and gave them a bigger cause for worry about their son. They would find him organizing items by size, color, item, ect. having to count each thing and restart the counting if he was interrupted. They would see his need to categorize everything and his emotional reactions to different occasions, had his parents seek out medical help to figure out what was going on. He was eventually diagnosed with autism, but that didn’t bring him down or ruin his happy spirit. Everywhere he went, everyone loved him, but the emotional turmoil of it all behind the scenes, had affected his parents and their relationship. There was a lot of family drama, problems with alcohol, and financial issues, but also a lot of love, forgiveness, and perseverance.

I loved that this film was based on a true story and helps really paint a picture for a family with such challenges of a genetic disorder and the whirlwind of dealing with what autism can be. It felt very realistic and the acting was spot on. I loved the positive attitude that the boy had, and his younger brother always having his back. The drama between the parents was sad to see, but very relatable to a lot of families unfortunately. My favorite character was the dad’s imaginary friend, as this was humorous and silly. Overall this movie was definitely worth the watch and a good reminder that no matter what life gives you, you can always find joy and be grateful for each day that you are given.

You can watch The Unbreakable Boy in theaters starting February 21st!

Lost On A Mountain In Maine in Theaters Starting 11/1 + A Giveaway

Lost On A Mountain In Maine produced by Sylvester Stallone, is based on a true story about a 12 year old boy named Donn Fendler, who became lost in the remote wilderness, on a mountain in Northern Maine. He and his father, brothers, and a friend, were hiking the mountain, when Donn became upset and ventured off on his own, getting lost in the process. He was lost for nine days, while a massive search party looked for him, and what shows in those long hard days he experienced, will keep you in awe.

It's amazing what a body can do while it has the willpower to press on and not give up. Watching this film about a young child having to live through such miraculous situations is gut wrenching but also courageous to see him make it through. The things he experienced while being alone in the wilderness is nothing I would wish on anyone, let alone a child, but it really shows the strength he had to continue living. This film was beautifully orchestrated and the attention to detail and truth was very realistic and really helps you understand the story.
I loved watching this film and highly recommend you go see it too!

Lost In A Mountain In Maine will be showing in theaters starting November 1st!

Get Inspired and Watch Average Joe in Theaters Starting October 11th! + A GIVEAWAY

Inspired by a true story, Average Joe is a movie about freedom and fighting for what you believe in. This film is based on the story of Joe Kennedy, a coach for Bremerton High School, who was fired for praying to God after every game, kneeling on the football field. In this movie, it begins with the story of of Joe as a child, going through the foster care system. He runs into many obstacles through his young childhood, that leads him to fighting his way through life. Because of the many situations that always found him in fight mode, he decided to join the Marine Corps so he could "fight" for a living. Joe crossed many battles, but the biggest one he faced, was based on his religious freedom and freedom of speech. When he felt lead to pray on the football field after every game, and the higher ups wanted to take that away, Joe fought to gain his freedom back, not only for himself, but for all Americans who believed in freedom of religion. He showed his commitment to God and his strength to persevere.

I really enjoyed watching Average Joe, and love that it was inspired by a true story. Seeing the passion put on someones heart and the way Joe pushed through his beliefs from the very start... Getting to see a peek into his life as a child, it really pulls on your heart. He had a rough life from the start, but what he needed most, finally found him, and his obstacles pushed himself into a better life; Including the love story between him and his wife. There were many mountains to climb, but Joe never gave up. This film was inspiring and beautifully made!

See White Bird in Theaters Starting October 4th + A GIVEAWAY

A beautiful coming of age film, White Birdbased on the graphic novel by R.J. Palacio and a pre/sequel to the film Wonder. The plot surrounds stories told by a grandmother that lived through the Nazi ruled areas of France, in World War II. In the beginning, the grandmother visits her grandson, who has started a new school and is dealing with the pressures of fitting in with his peers. She tells him stories of what her life was like around his age, things she went through and how she was treated because of being Jewish. These stories helped soften her grandsons heart, and choose kindness in the end.

I really enjoyed watching White Bird. It had everything I’m interested in, in a movie. Action, romance, feel-good, heart tugs, on the edge of your seat, and more! I loved learning of the grandmothers experiences and hearing her narrate throughout. This made it easier to imagine it as if I was right there hearing her stories. The life she, and others, lived and the trauma they all had to go through. It was full of heartache but also love and sacrifice.
This film was beautifully written and brought to life. I highly recommend!

'God's Not Dead: In God We Trust' Movie in Theaters September 12 + A Giveaway

The question many people ask, "Does God still have a place in politics?" The story of a local reverend drawn into running for congress... he runs against a senator who wants to remove religion from the government and decrease human rights, among many other things. The political war between the two brings you the film:
'God's Not Dead: In God We Trust'

I am not a political person by any stance, but I do find bits and pieces of it interesting to check out on occasion. So I navigated toward watching this movie as it seemed like a decent time, with the presidential election around the corner and all. I found this movie to be pretty much what I had expected... a drawn out congressional race between two people that couldn't be further from the opposite. It was interesting to see the behind scenes of each party, and how one will try all they can to pull the other down. It's sad to see how much the difference between secular government and faith based values can really segregate one from the other. It's just a reminder that more than not, people can't seem to find equal ground. Even in the turmoil though, the reverend kept pushing forward in faith, and it all worked out in the end.

If you would like to see the movie 'God's Not Dead: In God We Trust' it will be in Theaters starting September 12, 2024 and you can purchase tickets online at fathomevents.com

Watch 'Forty-Seven Days With Jesus' Movie

Just in time for Easter, a new movie “Forty-Seven Days With Jesus” directed by David M. Gutel and Emilio Palame, is a family drama based around a workaholic father and the disconnect in his relationships. The family goes on their pre planned trip to vacation with the grandparents, but the father is spending all of his time working, that he’s missing out on being with his family. His wife and children feel the pain of his choices, and drama spreads causing a chain reaction to come to head. Along this journey, the children are being told the story of Jesus and His last 47 days on Earth. This leads them to self reflect and really see what matters most in their life.

I was looking forward to watching this film, as I expected it to be much different than it was. It has a very slow process and I didn’t realize it was going to be basically a musical!! Every time the story of Jesus was being told, the characters in the Biblical theme would be singing. If I would have known this, I would have been less apt to want to see this film lol. I’m sure the family in this movie is very relatable to some, so it is nice to see everything come together in a positive way in the end, but I’m just not fond of musicals…if you love a musical, and are looking for a new movie to watch this Easter, then check it out and be sure to enter the giveaway below!!

You can see “Forty-Seven Days With Jesus” in Theaters only March 11, 12, and 14! Get your Tickets HERE * You can also check it out on Instagram and Facebook.

A Relaxing Movie Night Watching: Surprised by Oxford

Based on a true story and memoir of Carolyn Weber, Surprised by Oxford is a deep and emotional story about main character Caro Drake, and her trials through life, which includes getting accepted into a prestigious college, with the goal and desire to receive a PhD. Upon Caro's new life in Oxford, she meets several people, including a young man, that she finds herself falling in love with. This begins a new path in her life, where she begins tearing down walls and dealing with past emotions that have taken up such a large space in her heart.

I am a big fan of Memoirs and always interested when they become movies. Watching Surprised by Oxford was a great, relaxing film to watch and wind down for the night. One that pairs well with wine and chocolate ♡ I loved the acting portrayed by actress Rose Reid, it was very well done --with Caro's wit and strength she carried, even though her heart harbored pain from her past, it was very uplifting end enjoyable to see. You could feel the emotions build up and watching it all unfold, as she ponders some big questions in life. Watching this gave me the desire to read the Memoir this movie was based on, as I think it would be interesting! However, I feel like the movie was rushed in plot, yet dragged on and needed to fill in the silence with more information. I would have liked to see more story line in there, but overall as a whole, it was engaging and makes for a calm movie night.

Would you like to see Surprised by Oxford, yourself? For the month of November, you have the chance to buy or rent it! Begin by visiting Surprised by Oxford where you can watch the trailer to see if this film is for you, and then you can buy/rent it at a great price!

Go See the Movie After Death in Theaters Starting 10/27

Based on real near-death experiences, the film, After Death from Angel Studios brings you stories from those that have nearly died and lived to tell. This movie contains interviews from not only the survivors, but also from doctors, authors, and scientists who have been there to see the other side and share their experiences with you. Many people wonder what happens after we die so this movie is an invitation to help you understand death a little better, from both spiritual and scientific dimensions.

Like most humans on this Earth, I have had quite a few people close to me, pass away. Though I have been taught many things, I have always wondered what happens after one has passed on...You have ideas but you will never really know until it happens to you. Watching this video filled me with interest, because these are stories from people who have actually been through, basically death, and lived to tell about it. It's interesting that so many stories end up being similar to others, really making you wonder if that is how death will be. I feel that this film After Death, is helpful to show to not be afraid of death, but I also worry that it will encourage others to look forward to death. It all depends on the person perceiving it I guess. I really did find the stories that were shared, fascinating, however there were so many guests they brought in to share their own stories, but they didn't end up  elaborating on the ones I was most interested in; for example, the guy who took too much cocaine...I wanted to hear his whole story but they only shared a small piece of it. Overall, this film is good to watch and helps build up more ideas and understanding of what happens when you die.

If you would like to see After Death in theaters when it comes out on October 27th, you can purchase tickets at angel.com where you can also pay it forward! Meaning you can donate money for those who can't afford to see the movie.

Watch GIGI & NATE in Theaters Beginning 9/2

Inspired by a true story, GIGI & NATE will take you along on a roller coaster of emotions while uplifting your heart.

Imagine building up the courage to dive off a cliff into the lake, and everything seems fine, but within days, your body takes a turn. A near life threatening reaction turns everything upside down and leaves you paralyzed. Nate experienced all of this and more, struggling day after day, feeling like he can't continue. But then he meets Gigi, a Capuchin monkey that changes him and his families life, forever. Gigi helps Nate's situation improve, giving him the hope he's needed to move through life. With the ups and downs each day brings, Gigi and Nate overcome the obstacles together.

I enjoyed watching this film and seeing Gigi interact with the characters. The movie was slow to begin with, a lot of tension and sadness, but I'm glad I watched it all the way through so I could see the good things about it too. It's a good reminder that, when life tries to knock you down, you might have to take a step or two backward, but hope always brings you back up and shows you that, with a little help, you're strong enough to get through whatever might come your way.

Visit gigiandnate.com and buy your tickets to see GIGI & NATE in theaters starting September 2!

Iconic Sound With Venstone X2 Headphones

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Venstone X2 Headphones are made with a special design said to fit snuggly into any size ear or shape. They are strong and compatible with all 3.5mm jack devices such as Apple, Android, Windows Phone, MP3, MP4 Players, Laptops, and more. They contain an in-line, one button remote control and microphone that is compatible with most smartphones so you can speak through the mouth piece. They also contain powerful 8mm drivers to deliver high sound quality and accuracy.

In using the Venstone X2 Headphones, I have found they have good sound come from them, but the earbuds just don't fit in my ears well. I like the fact that this pack includes several earbud sizes to choose from, but even the smallest earbud does not stay put in my ear. They are horrible for wearing while workout, because of this, but even if I am just sitting in place, using them while plugged into my laptop to watch a movie, the buds keep popping out of my ears. This can be pretty frustrating, because every time I move, it pops out lol. The overall quality of the headphones seem great, except on occasion, one side, usually the left, will get quieter than on the right. But this doesn't happen too often, thankfully. I like the cord of these headphones as they do not tangle so it makes them great for transporting or rolling them up when not in use. There's some good and some bad with these headphones, but I would not suggest them if you have small ears.

You can find the Venstone X2 Headphones available for purchase on Amazon for $11.99 available in the colors, Blue, Read, and White. They come with a 12 month warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee, as well as free lifetime technical support.

Pirates of the Caribbean Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Costume

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Halloween is right around the corner which means it's about that time to start the hunt to find the perfect costume! My son loves dressing up any time of year though, so having a stock of costumes on hand has always been fun for him. Lately he's been very into Pirates, Orcs, and Hobbits...So this year for Halloween, he said he wanted to be a pirate. But not just any pirate, he wanted to be Captain Jack Sparrow, the pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean!

We looked through the list of the Pirates of the Caribbean Costumes on the Wholesale Halloween Costumes site, and my son found the one he wanted. Within a week, we received the Captain Jack Sparrow Deluxe Child Costume! This particular costume comes with the shirt that has an attached vest, sash, and two belts with pvc buckles, the pants and boot covers, the hat, and the bandana with attached braids. The fabrics are made of 100% polyester and need to be handwashed in cold water and line dried to keep its durability. The costume does not include any toy weapons so those would need to be bought separately if so inclined. The costume we received is a size Medium (7-8) and it fit my recently turned 8 year old son near perfect.

My son could hardly wait til his costume arrived. As soon as it did, he put it on, but it required my help as it was a little difficult on his own because of the belts and shirt being connected to the vest. Once it was on, he used our child's face paint to add the "Jack Sparrow Eye Details" and mustache for a complete costume. We were a little dissapointed with the hat, as it was very difficult to fold into place and look right, and the braided hair, its color was more brown then black and it was all undone so it was a mess I just re-braided the braids and called it good. I think my son's favorite part about this costume is that it is versatile, so he can wear it and pretend to be a hobbit as well.

Wholesale Halloween Costumes has many costumes to choose from, whether it be for Halloween, that upcoming costume party, or just a costume for fun. You can Check out Wholesale Halloween Costumes on Facebook or find them on their website to browse the many costumes and accessories to suit your needs. Make it a day of fun, and find your perfect costume!

This post is made possible by Wholesale Costumes and the Costume Reviewers Admin for providing me the above costume in exchange for my honest review. All opinions my own.

New Costumes Means The Dementor is Here!

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Having a child who loves dressing up as super heroes or scary creatures means he has a love for getting new costumes to try! As part of the costume reviewers, I was able to choose a new costume for my son to review, and he picked the Dementor Child from Harry Potter.

The Dementor Child is a scary looking creature from Harry Potter that sucks the life and happy experiences out of people, leaving them feeling hopeless and sad. This sounds like a horrible thing for kids to even know about, so I wasn't sure on letting my son review this, but when he told me what a Dementor does, I thought it was too funny to not let him. He is 7 years old, and said to me "A Dementor kisses people to their death." and went on to show me what they do, with their kissy faces and everything haha. It was hilarious! So I figured I would let him receive the harmless ghoul of a character.

The Dementor Child costume comes from The Costume Super Center for a regular price of $29.99 but often have deals to get it on sale. (Follow CSC on Twitter for deals and costume ideas. And Click here for all the costume choices.) The Dementor Child costume includes the long black robe that has tattered edges and lengthy sleeves to look eery, and is made of polyester. It has a skeletal shaped chest piece that is made of foam, and a ghoulish mask to mimic the Dementor's haunting expression.

It is available in Medium (8-10) and Large (12-14) Sizes.
I chose the medium size for my son and it fits him well, although he says the chest piece would be better if it was smaller. He was a little dissapointed with the mask, as it is not made as well as the picture on the package shows, but otherwise, he still likes it. He waited everyday, for the costume to arrive. As soon as it did, he put it on! It goes best with all black clothing, so it blends together to complete the eery shadow of a look. If you have a child who is in to Harry Potter and mythical creatures, then this costume would be perfect for them!  Plus without the mask, you become, a "headless horseman" as my son said! :) He had a lot of fun reviewing this costume!
