The Cloth Option’s Free Cloth Diaper Distribution Program

Did you know, that if you are the caregiver of a young child and are struggling to pay for single-use diapers, there is a company called The Cloth Option, and they encourage people to apply to their program to try their reusable diapers! This is an amazing way to help each other out when you have little ones that need diapering. Continue reading for info taken from their site and shared below:

How does it work?

The Cloth Option’s free cloth diaper distribution program is available to qualifying families who complete the TCO application online or in person. Our program is available within the United States, U.S. Territories, and to U.S. Military families stationed abroad. We help families who are experiencing diaper need to switch to reusable diapers, by providing an initial loaned supply of cloth diapers.

Newborn diapers are distributed as a loan and must be returned to the program before the next size up can be provided. Loans of larger sizes may be kept for as long as your family needs them, and then returned back to TCO.

Once you are able to build your own stash of cloth diapers, return the TCO diapers so that they can be provided to another family in need. This helps ensure that we can continue to expand the TCO network and help other families experiencing diaper need.

If you are already cloth diapering and have enough diapers to use cloth full time with daily washing, we are glad to provide you with support on your cloth diaper journey in the form of information and advice. Children who are three years old are approved only with accompanying documentation of medical needs resulting in extended diapering.

How many cloth diapers do I get?

Approved families receive a starting cloth diaper stash. Newborns receive 20 cloth diaper changes, infants 15 changes, and potty training toddlers 10 changes. This is enough diapers to use cloth full time with daily washing. Cloth diapers distributed through this program may be new or gently used, and we work to include a variety of styles so that you can try them and see what works for you. We also try to provide a supply that works best based on your access to a washing machine.

How do I get the diapers?

If there is a TCO advocate nearby, they will contact you to schedule a time to give the diapers to you once you complete the application process. If you don’t live near a local TCO advocate, we will ship the diapers to you. You may apply online, or if there is a TCO advocate nearby, you may be able to apply directly with them.

Visit The Cloth Diaper.org to see what kind of documents are needed to apply, and to gather more information to be a part of this journey. Make sure you spread the word for other parents and caregivers so they can join if interested too!

Seventh Generation's Baby Natural Laundry Detergent

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

When you have a new baby, your mind becomes worried with all kinds of things from the daily feeding and care of your little one, to expenses, surroundings, and more. An over looked worry is what and how you will wash your babies clothing. There aren't many laundry soaps specifically for baby use, but the handful of detergents out there make it easy to narrow down which one you will use. You want to be sure your detergent is gentle for your little ones sensitive skin, while also being strong in keeping clothing clean and stain free.

With Seventh Generation's Baby Natural Laundry Detergent, your babies clothing will be cleaned by a special hypoallergenic formula using the power of enzymes working together to target tough baby stains, such as spit-up, formula residue, diaper blowouts, and more. This is a great detergent for cloth diapers as well, even the whole family can use it! In using this product, I found that it bubbles well in the wash, and leaves our clothes looking clean as they should. There is no leftover smells or irritants, just clean clothes that we can feel good about wearing! I love that this soap is made using plant-derived agents as this is much better for us and the environment. You will find that Seventh Generation's Baby Natural Laundry Detergent is a USDA Certified Biobased Product by 97% and it is free from fragrances, dyes, and artificial brighteners. It's the perfect laundry soap for new babies, but really for the whole family!

AngelicWare's 100% Bamboo Baby Cloth Diaper

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

AngelicWare Cloth Baby Diapers are a one size fits all adjustable cloth diaper to give baby the best comfort and protection. These diapers are made of 100% Organically Grown Bamboo, with the outer fabric being leakproof and waterproof, and the inner fabric being made of Anti-Bacterial Charcoal Bamboo that is hypoallergenic so it is not only breathable for babies skin, but it also helps prevent diaper rash with its ultra absorbent "bamboo-kun" material. The charcoal bamboo also has odor control, so your baby can stay comfortable and not as stinky as you might find them in other diapers.  Each diaper has a pocket so you can fit their thick Charcoal Bamboo inserts inside, that are made of 2 outer layers of the Charcoal Bamboo, and 3 inner layers of microfiber so they are super soft and absorbent.

The great thing about these diapers being a one size fits all, is that you can use them from the time your baby is born, all the way up to potty training. The 3 adjustable snaps allow fit for a newborn to toddler, fitting small (8-15 lb.), medium (12-25 lb.), and large (20-35 lb.) child so they will last you for years! Which means you are saving a ton of money, especially if you use them for more than one child!

I love the soft fabric these diapers are made from. The 100% Bamboo makes them comfortable for your little one to wear, as well as keeping them protected from bacteria and dry for comfort. The snaps are easy to use, fitting your child at the size they need, and you can feel relieved knowing the chances of diaper rash are less. The inserts are easy to place inside of the diaper and the double gussets helps absorb any chance of leaking. They are very breathable and your little one will feel comfortable, happy, and dry!
These diapers would make a great set to give a new mama, great for baby shower gifts or just to stock up on your own little baby! You can find the AngelicWare Cloth Baby Diapers available for purchase on Amazon for a Starter Kit Bundle with 4 cloth diapers, 4 inserts, and a wetbag all for less than $40. Such a great deal! Plus you can get 10% by using the code at http://tinyurl.com/AngelicWare-DiaperSet1 until February 15, 2016!
