Any Minute - Book Review

Sarah is assigned a breakfast meeting with very important clients, in which she is late to, by being stuck in traffic. The bridge she was on began to close off so it could open up to let the ship beneath, through, but Sarah thought she could make it before the bridge opened all the way...and the next thing she knows, she realizes she's in trouble. BIG trouble. In the bottom of an icy river, her chances on living are very slim.
Sarah gets a second chance on life, to change and be the woman she was made to be. It's hard at first, for her to catch on, but eventually she begins understanding and realizes what she's suppose to do. Making a difference in others lives, and everything around her begins to become brighter...except her relationship with her husband. It took another life risking situation, this time with her 8 year old son, to get her to realize her and her husband have got to try harder...to be in love once again.
I won't give the whole story away, in case you decide to read it-which I recommend you do, it is a really good book!-but it ends in a positively happy note and I am more then happy I read it. I will leave you with a great quote from the book, which I find to be something we all should remember.
"Any minute you might get the chance to make someone else happy.
Any minute you might get your chance to be a giver. So be watchful at all things and don't let any opportunities to do good pass you by. "
Homemade Butter+Recipe
Making butter is so easy! Makes for a fun kid experiment too :)
Me and my lil man made our own and this is how...
Ingredients needed:
(and later you may want some salt to flavor it)
Begin by pouring Heavy Whipping Cream into the jar, about 3/4ths the way full.
screw the lid on tight and then...........
SHAKE!!
And shake and shake and shake some more. You have to shake a long time
to get it going!
Here's the 1st consistency: Whip Cream texture.
If you
add some sugar to this, you could use it on desserts to add some extra
yumminess!
But..if you just keep on shaking....You get...butter!
You will see, there's liquid in with the butter clump. This is what they call "buttermilk" but it tastes nothing like the actual store bought buttermilk. So, carefully pour out the liquid into a cup. I put my hand over the top of the glass so the butter wouldn't come out, but just enough for the liquid to be able to.
You can drink the "buttermilk" if you like! I did and it was delicious. Tasted more like milk with whipping cream then anything and I thought it was tasty :)
And then you will have purely smooth.....
Nostalgic Toy Find

Homemade Bread+Recipe
I did a Tray Activity with my son, to the book "Bread Comes To Life"
In the back of the book, it holds a recipe to make amazing bread! Here's how.
Start with the ingredients of:
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 pack of yeast
1/4 c Vegetable Oil
1/4 c Honey
2 tsp salt
1 Cup of Water -slowly poured in, while mixing.
Mix all together til it forms a lump
{Here are some shots of my son putting in the ingredients :) }
When a nice clump forms, lay it on a floured surface. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Then Knead 100 times or so, and form into a ball.
If it is too doughy, add more flour and knead some more.
If it is too doughy, add more flour and knead some more.
Put ball into an oiled container and roll around, to coat it full, then let it sit,
covered in plastic wrap (or a cloth) til it rises twice its size.
Punch a hole in center to relieve from air pockets. Knead several times.
Shape into rectangle and sit in loaf pan and cover with cloth.
Take plastic wrap off and Cook in oven at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes or so.
Comes out beautifully! Spread butter over top..
Isn't it just beautiful? Slice and serve!
I put butter (check out my homemade butter here!)
and homemade blackberry spread on a slice. So delicious!

Muffin Gone Donuts
I love donuts. Store bought bakery ones just have this flavor I love, that I can't seem to mimic.
My husband bought me a donut maker for my birthday awhile back, and I've been searching for the perfect recipe to make donuts, since. I came across a recipe for muffins, (I can't seem to find the link/recipe but when I do I will post.) And decided I was going to try it in my donut maker. It came out wonderful. The donuts were so fluffy and sweet. I then brushed butter over the donuts and dipped them in a sugar/cinnamon mixture.
They were sooo tasty! I decided to turn the sugar/cinnamon mixture into a glaze and mixed in powdered sugar and the melted butter. This tasted even better! I also drizzled Reese's syrup over the glaze on some of the donuts, then added sprinkles.
They were amazing!
Breakfast Puffs+Recipe
I found this delicious breakfast idea from Joyful Homemaking and just had to try it out!
The Breakfast Puffs look like a simple and quick, tasty breakfast idea!
Things you need:
A can of biscuits (I used Pillsbury Grands Original biscuits, pack of 8 but split each biscuit in half and shaped it so I was able to make 20 of these delicious puffs)
Eggs (I used 7 for mine) (and any seasonings you may want)
Meat, whichever you prefer. (I used a box of 10 links-hot n spicy flavor, next time I will use more meat though)
Cheese. (I used Cheddar & Pepper Jack)
You start by greasing a muffin tin then layering in your biscuits.
Whisk up your eggs in a container, adding any seasoning you wish, and have your pre cooked sausage chopped up, and add this to the egg mixture. Make sure to make a bowl like indent in the biscuits and then pour in your egg/meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and cook in the oven at 375 degrees for about 12mins, or as long as it takes til eggs are fully cooked through. You can test with a toothpick.
(I forgot to take photo's for the step by step..oops!)
These little Breakfast Puffs are so convenient for on the go breakfasts. Make them a day or so ahead and keep em in your fridge. Just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and you're breakfast on the go is ready!
I personally am not a fan of eggs, so in getting past the fried egg..all I had to do was turn the muffin upside down and eat the bottom up to top, and it was delicious!
Thank you Joyful Homemaking for posting the recipe for me to try out :) This will be a recipe I will keep, as my husband and son just loved them.
Gas Relief Pills Review With Update!
So this will be an interesting post............
I am trying out Extra Strength Gas Relief pills!
These pills are said to relieve:
*Bloating
*Pressure
*Fullness
and........
*Gas!
SO I thought, what a great night to try these pills out!
When I am having everything possible, really, tear up my belly! LOL. I am lactose intolerant to an extent so you can imagine what I will be facing. 7 Different things that are bound to get my belly rolling.
Here's what I had for dinner:
Leftover Mexican food which contained: refried beans, rice, tortilla chips, guacamole, lettuce, salsa, cheese, and 2 day expired sour cream! (I know, bad choice on the sour cream but I love sour cream with Mexican food!) And for my drink, I made a milkshake which contained: Milk, Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream, Banana, Peanut Butter, and small amount of chocolate syrup. My belly is stuffed. So after I consumed all of this, I took TWO Gas Relief pills. So far so good I guess. Belly is still stuffed, which is asked for, but we'll see what happens the rest of the night!!
These pills are available for purchase at Walmart for only 88cents, for a pack of 15 softgels!
So if they work, it could be a great product for you as well!
UPDATE: I'm writing this the next morning, and I'm really not sure if these pills helped any. My stomach felt bloated and uncomfortable the whole night and I woke up EXTREMELY gassy lol and a bad stomach ache. :( I don't know, maybe I ate too many fart foods at one time, and the pills just couldn't take it??..or these are just "placebo pills" to make you think they work but don't!
Either way, hopefully this post brought you a good laugh :)
Have you ever tried any form of Gas Pills? Did you find them to work?
